What stays on your device?

Scanning runs entirely in your browser. Text you scan is never transmitted by Custos.

What is stored?

The local log holds time, action, source, matched category names, a count, a risk score and hash-chain values. It does not store your text or matched values. Settings are stored in IndexedDB. The extension stores only on/off, threshold and aggregate counters in its own local storage.

Your Control

Export or erase everything from the dashboard Settings. Clearing site data also removes it.

No Analytics

Custos uses no telemetry, third-party scripts, fonts or cloud scanning.
